Australian musical to premiere at State Theatre Centre of WA
A unique partnership between the Perth Theatre Trust (PTT) and Black Swan State Theatre Company (Black Swan) has resulted in a new Australian musical having its national premiere in Perth next year.
With the support of PTT, Clinton – The Musical, a new Australian musical written by Brisbane brothers Paul and Michael Hodge, will be staged at the State Theatre Centre of WA from 27 August to 11 September 2016.

said Rudi Gracias, Acting General Manager, Perth Theatre Trust.
“It’s certainly a great coup for Black Swan to have the Australian premiere in Perth, and a wonderful opportunity to showcase the talents of Australian writers, actors and designers of international standing.”
Black Swan General Manager, Natalie Jenkins said: “We are excited to be partnering with Perth Theatre Trust, for the Australian premiere of Clinton - The Musical.
“Their involvement in this production and working with resident companies for mutually beneficial outcomes demonstrates the value placed on the arts for the West Australian community. Clinton has been described as an uproarious musical romp! Fast-paced and full of surprises, which will add excitement to the overall activities at the State Theatre Centre of WA.”
Clinton – The Musical comes direct from a highly successful New York season Off-Broadway. Prior to that a London season in 2013 and an Edinburgh Fringe Festival season in 2012.
The show received a New York Times Critics' Pick and nominated for Best New Musical from the Off-Broadway Alliance plus nominations for Best New Musical and Best Book of a Musical at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
