His Maj – shining bright in the City of Lights!
His Majesty’s Theatre is featured in the City of Perth’s latest TV campaign.
The City’s latest branding campaign encourages people to “shine bright in the city of lights” and showcases the beautiful theatre auditorium and foyer entrance at the beginning of the advertisement.
The ad features a talented cast of six local dancers and skaters, who ditch their rehearsals at His Majesty’s and take to the city streets, making their way through iconic Perth locations in fun and unique ways, showing the City in a new light.
City of Perth Lord Mayor, Basil Zempilas, said the campaign will make people proud of Perth and cause them to fall in love with the City of Light all over again.
“Over 60 years ago, American astronaut John Glenn dubbed our great city, the City of Light, but it’s always been that for the people of Perth and this new campaign personifies all the reasons why,” Mr Zempilas said.
The Arts and Culture Trust is collaborating with the City of Perth for the Boorloo Heritage Festival. From 21 to 28 April, the City of Perth is proud to support His Maj in the Limelight – a light and sound projection experience that celebrates the significance of His Majesty’s as a state heritage icon. The celebrations will also include musical performances, guided walks and street window displays highlighting the history and culture of His Majesty’s Theatre and the King Street Precinct.
