South African a capella group The Joy have become known for their ability to spread instant euphoria.

Their name reflects their sound – hearing their smooth harmonies and feeling their remarkable chemistry will bring you immediate joy. With intricate choreography and storytelling elements their performances are a treat for the eyes and ears.

In a world where music has the power to unite and inspire, The Joy are on a mission to spread happiness and cultural pride. Formed in 2018, the group has risen to fame with a sound that blends traditional South African rhythms, gospel, R&B and soul.

The quintet’s repertoire of uplifting songs, unique arrangements and traditional dance moves has been taking the world by storm. Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson pronounce themselves fans – the latter calling them “my favourite group” and inviting them onto her US talk show. After releasing their debut album in June this year, the group performed at Coachella, joining Doja Cat to open her headline performance.

The Joy blends traditional Zulu music with a cappella and their sound is undoubtedly a revitalising, soul-enriching tonic for our times; the perfect medicine for music lovers right across the world.
