It is 1933 and preparations are underway for the first International Fringe Festival. Eminent producer Cosmo Smallpiece, who runs one of London’s most celebrated theatre companies, has been invited by the impresario George Black to present his best act at the opening Gala Night in the London Palladium.
Wanting only the absolute best, he’s extended an invitation to the top touring artists to audition for him. With the chance of stardom on the line, would someone kill for the main part?
