12 Last Songs explores how we work, live and spend our time. Making a living. Chasing a passion. Watching the clock.

For one show only, from midday until midnight, 12 Last Songs frames the rhythms of the city through the people who make it work. All sorts of people from Perth turn up to perform paid shifts in front of a live audience, talking about what they do and how they see the world. A decorator might paper a wall, a nail technician apply a fresh set, a barista serve up a coffee. A sex worker, FIFO worker or shark spotter might detail their day (or night!).

Part live exhibition, part epic performance, 12 Last Songs is an unusual, joyful and touching work that invites you to meet people you may not encounter in your everyday life.

Over the 12 hours you can come and go as you please, stay as long or as little as you like and witness a portrait of Perth through its people.
